People in Gaza and our teams desperately need your help today

People in Gaza are living in fear day and night from the intense, heavy bombing. As the airstrikes continue, sadly, it is the most vulnerable people who are overwhelmingly being injured.

Our teams are working in the shelters where families are trying to stay safe. We are distributing essential supplies of crutches, wheelchairs, hygiene and first aid kits. And we are urgently working to ensure the needs of the most vulnerable - people with disabilities, unaccompanied children, older people and people with life-changing injuries – are prioritised.

With your help, we can start to provide desperately-needed rehabilitation and post-operative care to people who have been injured, as well as activities to support children who have been traumatised.

Supporting the most vulnerable people

Our teams in Gaza are working tirelessly to respond to the urgent humanitarian crisis, but we really need your support.

Together, we can deliver:

Essential supplies
Our teams are working in shelters throughout Gaza providing essential assistance. And since the beginning of the conflict, we have entered 11 trucks with a large quantity of humanitarian equipment, including distribution of crutches and wheelchairs, hygiene supplies, dignity kits, first aid kits, food and essential household items.
Rehabilitation for injured people
We have provided over 3,600 nursing care sessions as well as more than 3,000 rehabilitation sessions for people who have sustained life-changing injuries, like amputations and spinal cord injuries.
Trauma and mental health support
People are now in “survival mode” and many have lost family members or loved ones. Psychological first aid is vital to help them cope.
Activities for traumatised children
Our volunteers have already organised over 10,000 games and recreational activities for more than 41,000 children in emergency shelters. These activities are important to help restore a sense of normality for children living in a warzone and ease their anxiety.
Emergency safety messages
As the daily, heavy bombing continues, sadly, it is women and children who are overwhelmingly being injured. Together with the United Nations, we have sent out text messages to 1.5 million residents with advice for how to stay as safe as possible.
Armed violence reduction
Our teams have organised over 700 community awareness sessions in more than 140 shelters, on the risks of explosive remnants of war, reaching more than 12,650 children and adults.

Together, we can protect and support the most vulnerable people in Gaza.

Eyewitness report

Sharaf lives in Khan Younis city in the south of Gaza. He manages our team that supports vulnerable populations to access shelter, education, and rehabilitation services. He describes the situation he is witnessing inside Gaza:

“The situation is catastrophic, a crisis in a crisis. People are surrounded by a fence from the north, east and south, and sea from west. Access and border crossing is blocked by fire, from above the rain of bombs.”

“It's a state of separation from reality. Your home, father, mother and even your children, each day you have to make the choice to die all at once in one room or to be separated across the Strip.”

“Each day I receive a call or through social media that one or more of my friends were killed or injured. Just yesterday morning I had two who were killed and two injured. Each one in Gaza is living in such a situation. The dead or those who still live, each one has a story, a story of fear, new life or loss.”
